Bridgepoint Shooting – Investigations are ongoing after a person was shot to death in Bridgeport Friday night, now police are seeking the suspect in the incident.
According to Bridgepoint Police, the incident happened at about 9:20 p.m., officials responded to the shots fired report in the area of West Avenue and West Liberty Street. Arriving officers located a person down on the ground with a possible gunshot wound to the upper torso.
The unidentified individual was pronounced dead at the scene. A perimeter was secured as officials investigate the scene for evidence. No suspect’s information was immediately released, and the identity of the victim is pending forensic investigation.
