Vanderhoof shooting – Authorities are investigating an active shooter near the RCMP detachment this evening, according to reports.
Routs close to the scene have been closed to traffic and residents of Vanderhoof have been urged to stay safe and do not come out except it is necessary. Investigators are currently searching everywhere for suspects and possible victims. It is not clear what prompted the shooting.

Authorities say an academic place close to the scene, WL McLeod Elementary, has been placed on code red lockdown indefinitely, pending when investigation are over and the situation is contained.
