Absolutely heartbroken to hear that Tony Broughan aka Molly Malone passed away peacefully in the early hours of this morning. Thoughts and prayers are with Tony’s children, his grandchildren and all his extended family and friends. Tony was a good friend to me and my family and we will miss him so much. The Hill won’t be the same without Dublin’s greatest supporter and we will never forget him. Rest in peace Tony and keep ringing that bell.

Tony was loved by the Dubs fans and he was a regular in the Handball Club on match days.
Without doubt Tony was Dublin’s number one fan and Hill 16 will miss the sound of his bell.

Tony no doubt a Dublin GAA man through and through going to matches the last 80 years.
The iconic sound of his bell being rang has been heard all over Hill 16 for years.

Today is truly a sad day for Dublin GAA and the end of an era as we received the sad news that its most famous supporter Tony Broughan or as he’s better known Molly Malone sadly has passed away.
For as long as I can remember Molly has always been there, rain, hail or sun, the pictures below of him on RTE’s ‘Up for the Final’ show in 1995 & at last years meet and greet in Parnell Park.

Its with great sadness I write this post, but this morning we lost a true son of Dublin Tony Broughan aka molly molone. Tony was a true Dublin supporter and a great ambassador in the mansion House and Croke park over the years. Im sure all you fellow Dubs supporters would join me by saying ” Thank you Tony ‘ you’ll be truly missed!!!!
