Omar Malavé Death – Cause of Death – Omar Antonio Malavé, a Venezuelan professional baseball coach and a former player and manager, has died at the age of 58. He died on the 22nd of November 2021. Omar who was the former first base coach for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball in 2010, spent the 2013 season as the coordinator of Latin American operations in Toronto’s player development system.
Before his unexpected passing, Malavé was the manager of Mexican League team Algodoneros de Unión Laguna. He was born on the 17th of January 1963. From 1981 to 1989, Omar played in the minor leagues for the Blue Jays. Wikipedia revealed that Omar played every infield position as well as outfield, and hit .258 in 654 games played.
Malavé managed in the Blue Jays’ minor league system from 1991 to 2009 and also in 2011 to 2012. Malavé was made the manager of the Dunedin Blue Jays on the 13th of January 2014. In 2020, he also managed the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna.
