Norbie Danz Death – Cause of Death – On the 21st of November 2021, Norbie Danz, legendary Cedar Crest coach was reported dead in a tweet made by Cedar Crest Football. Norbie Danz who was a 1951 Lancaster Catholic grad, was the head football coach at several schools, including Lebanon Catholic, Cedar Crest and McCaskey. Norbie played college football for George Washington University and a stint in the Air Force.

After that, Norbie guided Lebanon Catholic to three championships. According to Cedar Crest Football, “…As a coach, he set the bar for success at Cedar Crest and in Lebanon County…” Norbie was a member of the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He led Cedar Crest to win the Section One title in 1986, and he went on to win 31 league games over his 10 years stay with Cedar Crest. He was the winner of 1996 J. Freeland Chryst Award.

Cedar Crest Football said in a tweet; “It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of legendary Cedar Crest coach Norbie Danz. As a coach, he set the bar for success at Cedar Crest and in Lebanon County. Our thoughts go out to his family.”
