Mary Brown Death – Cause of Death – Mary Brown, former Michigan state Representative died at the age of 86. A statement from the Kalamazoo County Democratic Party confirmed that Brown died of natural causes on Sunday, 21st of November 2021. Brown was on the 18th of August 1935. Brown represented the Kalamazoo area as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives for 18 years.
She served as chair of the House Constitutional Revision and Women’s Rights, Senior Citizens and Retirement and Insurance committees, during her tenure. She was also the chair of the House Democratic Caucus from 1983 to 1994. MLIVE said in an article that in 2007, Brown was inducted into the Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame, during ceremonies in East Lansing.
Before her successful career in politics, Brown worked as a physical education instructor at Western Michigan University. When she retired from the legislature, Brown became involved with the Girl Scouts of Glowing Embers Council in Kalamazoo, Mlive reported.
