Malikah Shabazz – Death – Malikah Shabazz, a 56-year-old of Midwood, Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of Malcolm X, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, November 22, 2021. According to Authorities she was found dead in her Midwood home on East 28th Street by her daughter on Monday, November 22, 2021. According to sources she was found unresponsive on Monday Afternoon. Emergency crews were already at the scene when police arrived at the scene. Malikah’s death is not deemed suspicious police said. Her daughter had called 911, police said.
Malikah Shabazz was born in 1965 in the USA to Betty Shabazz and Malcolm X, she is one of the six daughters of Malcolm X. She is a sister to Qubilah, Gamilah Lumumba, IIyasah, Malaak, and Attallah. She has a daughter call Bettih Bahiyah Shabazz. Malcolm X was an African-American Muslim minister and human rights activist who was a popular figure during the civil rights movement. A spokesman for the Nation of Islam until 1964, he was a vocal advocate for Black empowerment and the promotion of Islam within the Black community. He was assassinated on February 21, 1965, when he was preparing to address the OAAU in Manhattan’s Audubon Ballroom.
Bernice King, daughter or Martin Luther King Jr., extend her condolences and express how sad she was on her Twitter account, “I’m deeply saddened by the death of #MalikahShabazz. My heart goes out to her family, the descendants of Dr. Betty Shabazz and Malcolm X.” She also added that Malikah’s mother was pregnant with her and her twin sister when their father Malcolm X was murdered. “Dr. Shabazz was pregnant with Malikah and her twin sister, Malaak, when Brother Malcolm was assassinated. Be at peace, Malikah.
Malikah Shabazz’s obituary will be organized by the family.
