Hilda Múdra Death – Cause of Death – Austrian-born Slovak figure skating coach, Hilda Múdra, née Hildegard Klimpel sadly passed away at the age of 95 in Bratislava. Hilda Múdra who was the coach of the Olympic figure skating winner and honorary member of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee, sadly died on the 22nd of November 2021. Múdra’s most notable student was Ondrej Nepela, the 1972 Olympic champion.

On the 26th of October 2021, Múdra was married to Slovak manager Jozef Múdry and she gave birth to their daughter, Dagmar, in 1949, and to their son, Pavol, in 1950. Reports says that her husband passed away in November 2010. She spoke both Slovak and German.

Among other great skaters she trained, Múdra coached Ondrej Nepela for 15 years, having first met him in February 1958. Nepela won gold at five European Championships, three World Championships, and the 1972 Winter Olympics. In 2000, He became the Slovak athlete of the 20th century.

Slovenský olympijský tím said in a release; “At the age of 95, the legendary coach of the Olympic winner in figure skating and an honorary member of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee Hilda Múdra died. Honor her memory!”
