Eamonn ‘Ned’ Rea Death – Cause of Death – The Irish hurler who played as a full-forward for the Limerick senior team, Éamonn “Ned” Rea has passed away on the 22nd of November 2021. He died in November 2021, after falling ill earlier in the month. He became unwell the weekend before last and died on Monday. Rea began his club hurling career with Effin before joining Dublin club Faughs in 1968.

Rea joined the Limerick senior team during the 1964 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1974 championship. He won one All-Ireland medal and two Munster medals during these period. Rea was also one of the prime movers in the establishment of Club Limerick Dublin, originally the Limerick Supporters Club in Dublin, Wikipedia stated.

His honor includes the Dublin Senior Club Hurling Championship in 1970, 1972 and 1973 when he played with the Faughs and also the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship in 1973 and Munster Senior Hurling Championship in1973-1974 when he was with the Limerick. Rea also had the honour of being selected for Munster in the inter-provincial series of games.
