Tom Colley Death – Cause of Death – Tom Colley popularly known as “Mr. Nighthawk,” sadly passed away on the 17th of November 2021 at the age of 68. Colley was an ex Niagara Falls Flyer and one time “captain” of the Sudbury Wolves. Reports says that the native of Collingwood, Ont, died following a lengthy illness. On the 12th of March 1975, Colley appeared in one game in the National Hockey League, with the Minnesota North Stars.
Colley spent seven of his eight AHL seasons with the New Haven Nighthawks, where his 534 games played, 204 goals, 281 assists and 485 points all stand as franchise records. His number 9 was retired by the team, the American Hockey League stated. Colley spent a season with the Binghamton Whalers, and finished his AHL career with 535 points in 611 contests.
