David Koliba Death – Cause of Death – 40 year old David Koliba was identified as the victim of a shooting at the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said Koliba was fatally shot in the head at a Metro train station in Willowbrook on Sunday, 21st of November 2021. Koliba was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting happened at about 2 p.m. on the C-Line Platform at the Rosa Parks Metro station in the 11600 block of Willowbrook Avenue. According to police reports, four officers saw the suspect waiting on the platform. Deputy Eva Jimenez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said the suspect jumped down to the eastbound rail tracks and pointed and fired a handgun at the officers and they returned fire hitting the suspect.
The suspect then walked up behind Koliba and fired one round to the back of his head killing Koliba. The wounded suspect was taken to a hospital by paramedics. Reports says that no deputies were injured. Investigation is ongoing.
