Leon Taylor Death – Cause Of Death: Darlaston Town 1874 FC Captain Leon Taylor has passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday 24th November 2021 at the age of 36 leaving behind his wife, children, and the entirety of Darlaston Town. Leon Taylor’s death was announced by his club on Wednesday.
According to the statement released by Darlaston Town 1874 FC, Leon was described as a beautiful and great friend and also a talented player. Leon was a Darlaston legend, a football club that was one of the oldest non-league clubs in the country and was formed in the year 1874, Darlaston FC attached Town to its name at the commencement of the 1996–97 season.

Dudley Town Football Club says”The club is hugely saddened to hear the news of the passing of Darlaston Town player Leon Taylor, a fantastic character, player, and man. He will rightly be remembered as a Darlaston Town legend and the glowing tributes across social media are a reflection of the impact he had on so many. Leon had a short stint with us last season where he showed his ability on the field scoring 4 goals in the 8 games played. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and former clubs at this terribly sad time.
Neil Perks says “Always sad when someone passes but when it’s a young fit footballer it shows us all how vulnerable we are, Leon played against my teams many times and generally always scored a top class number 9 gone way too soon.
