Authorities have identified the victim of the motorcycle accident that happened on Saturday 18th of September 2021.
It happened that Gary Abbuhl, 78, of Longmont, was riding a recumbent bicycle while traveling eastbound on Clover Basin Drive while he collided with a motorist in the same directions.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Robin Ericson, 25, is a communications and marketing manager with the Longmont Public Safety Department.
Robin was driving a 2012 Kia Optima sedan. He remained at the scene after the accident occurred.
Ericson said the department is still investigating the crash. She believes it will be about one to two more weeks before police decide “who may or may not be at fault” for the crash.
Due to the collision, Gary Abbuhl was pronounced on the scene.
