Ed McClanahan Death – Cause of death: Renowned Literary artist and one of Ky’s Fab Five authors Ed McClanahan has passed away on Saturday 27th November 2021 at the age of 89. His death was announced on his Facebook page by his family. No cause of death was specified in the publication.

Edward Poage McClanahan was born in Brooksville, Kentucky,  a home rule-class city in Bracken County, Kentucky, in the United States on October 5th in 1932, to Edward Leroy and Jessie McClanahan. McClanahan attended Washington and Lee University, a private liberal arts university in Lexington, Virginia that was established in the year 1749 as the Augusta Academy for just one year. He continued at Miami University where he obtained his B.A. in English in 1955.

Miami University is a public research university in Oxford, Ohio. The university was founded in 1809, making it the second-oldest university in Ohio and the 10th oldest public university in the United States. He bagged an M.A. in English from the University of Kentucky in the year 1958. He was a creative writer who started in the mid-1950s, he was known for his writings in magazines like Esquire, Playboy, and Rolling Stone. Between the year 1972 and 1974, he earned Playboy’s award for nonfiction. Ed McClanahan’s obituary will be released by his family in no time.
