Happy Louie Cause of Death – Passed Away: Polka legend Happy Louie Dusseault of Wilbraham, Massachusetts has sadly passed away. He was 87 years old. Happy Louie died from the complications of Parkinson’s disease. Happy Louie Dusseault was a true legend in polka history and an inspiration to Polka Music.

Happy Louie was born in Ware, Massachusetts on August 4, 1934. Louie was the leader of the Happy Louie and Julcia’s Polka Band. In 1995, he was nominated for a Grammy for Best Polka Album. In 1982, he was inducted into the Polka Hall of Fame of the International Polka Association.

While announcing the passing of Happy Louie, International Polka Association issued a statement on Facebook, “Happy Louie was one of the most dynamic and charismatic polka entertainers in the field. The way Louie was able to connect with his fans on stage is legendary.” IAA also said, “Louie was a true pioneer and will be greatly missed. On behalf of the International Polka Association’s Officers and Directors, our sincere condolences to Louie’s wife Julia and their children and grandchildren.”
