Rita Letendre Death – Cause Of Death: Canadian painter Rita Letendre known for her exceptional work of art in the permeant collections of, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the National Gallery of Canada has passed away on Saturday 20th November 2021 at the age of 93 from blood cancer in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
She was born on 1st November in the year 1928 in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada to Anne-Marie Ledoux and Héliodore Letendre. She attended École des beaux-arts de Montréal, an educational institution of Fine Arts in Montreal founded in Quebec in 1922. The Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society was instrumental in its creation. She was very optimistic and dedicated, her work of art was valued by all.
Rita Letendre has gained many awards some of which include, Premier Prix, Concours de la Jeune Peinture 1959, Prix Rodolphe-de-Repentigny in the year 1960, Prix de la Peinture, Province du Québec 1961, 1962 – Canada Council Travel Grant (Europe) 1962, Gold Medal, Piccola Europa Exhibition, Sassoferrato, Italy 1962, Bourse de Recherche, Gouvernement du Québec 1967,Ile Festival International de Peinture, Cagnes-sur-Mer, France (Prix National) 1970, Recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal 2012,Member of the Order of Ontario 2016 and various others. Rita Letendre will leave a great legacy in Quebec and Canadian art. Rita Letendre’s obituary will be released by his family in a comfortable time.
