Tony DeBarra Death – Cause of Death – The news about the passing of Tony DeBarra was mentioned in a tweet made on the 23rd of November 2021 by Quintessence Theatre. Tony DeBarra sadly died on the 23rd of November 2021. He was a well known theatre man at An Tain Arts. An Táin Arts Centre is an independent arts space in Dundalk, Co. Louth, based in the former Táin Theatre, Town Hall, Crowe Street.
Reports says that Tony built a number of Quintessence sets during our time in Residence in Dundalk. Tony de Barra was described as a man for all seasons, the creative spirit, the sound man, director, writer, set designer and the music man. Circumstances surround the death of Tony was not revealed to the public during the time of this publication. His obituary and funeral arrangement will be posted by his family at a later date.
Gabrielle Tuomey said in a Facebook post; “First you would hear the sotto voce whistle and then get the whiff of the cigarette and there he was. Tony de Barra, the man for all seasons, the creative spirit, the sound man, director, writer, set designer, music man. Ready to lend or build you something. We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Tony de Barra who slipped away into other worldie wings this morning. So many memories… Sin sin as he would say in his calm, patient way. Rest in peace.”
Quintessence Theatre said in a tweet; “We were deeply saddened to hear the news today that Tony DeBarra has passed away. Tony was a well known theatre man at @antainarts he built a number of Quintessence sets during our time in Residence in Dundalk. He was an all round gentleman, & he will be missed. RIP.”
