The Sturmans moved to Wales but continued to take a great interest in SCC. Just a few weeks ago Phil’s son Andrew, who still lives locally, was one of the helpers down The Common as we readied the ground for the shortened 2020 season. Our thoughts are with the Sturman family.

Saddened to learn of the death of former club member Phil Sturman. Phil & his family were a big part of the club across the 1970s & 1980s. He will be forever remembered for the lasting legacy he leaves behind – he built our scorebox which sits proudly at the top of The Common
