Filip Jakovljevic, Death: Filip Jakovljevic, a dancer and member of the Sveti Sava Oplenac Folklore Ensemble passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Sick Kids Hospital. The news of his death was announced on Sveti Sava Oplenac Folklore Ensemble’s official Facebook page. The dance group express how devastated his death is to them as he passed away suddenly. “Dear Sveti Sava Oplenac Family members, Words cannot express how wholeheartedly devastated we are to hear the loss of our fellow brother dancer Filip Pia Jakovljevic, who passed suddenly.”

The post also described Filip as an incredible soul and that they are grateful to have met and have him in their lives and as a family since childhood. “Pia had such an incredible soul, and words can not describe how unfair this is. We are grateful to have met and have him in our lives with our children growing up together as a family within the folklore community. The joy your son brought into our lives was immeasurable. His presence was a gift. He will be greatly missed, and never forgotten. We are thinking of you, Our hearts ache for your family. We will hold Pia in our hearts forever. Rest In Peace our angel.” Filip Jakovljevic is born to Slobodan and Branka Jakovljevic, and a brother to Stefan.
