John O’Neal Death – Cause of Death – 59 year old John O’Neal, of Syracuse, was stabbed to death on the Near West Side. Reports says that John was involved in robbing another man at the time of the stabbing. John was armed with a gun when he and his accomplice, 35 year old Michael Jordan robbed a man on the 12th of November 2021 on Seymour Street.

The police said Jordan has been charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. John and his accomplice first robbed at 518 Wolf Street that day and stole an iPhone 11 in a glitter case. 20 minutes later, the pair robbed a man of $200 in the 400 block of Seymour Street. Authorities said Jordan crashed a car into another car and the driver of the other car “lawfully fought back” against O’Neal and Jordan which led to Jordan, who got away with the $200, receiving stab wounds to his face and back.

The unidentified driver took himself to Upstate University Hospital with a stab wound in the hand while John was pronounced dead at the scene. There is an ongoing investigation into the stabbings and no charges have been brought against the driver.

Syracuse police declined to respond to questions about the man’s death happening during a robbery.
