James was born on August 5 in the year 1940 in Ohio to James Pirl Punches Jr. and Mildred Ternissia Slone Punches. He was a loving father and father. He was a respected and dignified man. He married Ann Robinson in the year 1964 which they both had two daughters Heather Alyson, and Alicia Michele. He remarried in the year 1983 to Debra Ralston and they had a son Ian Jameson.
He was a hardworking man with various prizes to show for it. He studied the ozone layer in Antarctica in the year 1978. He helped develop the guidance systems for the Apache Helicopters, and now common laser scanners. He also helped build the lens technology for the Hubble Telescope and the Voyager II program for NASA. He was loved and cherished by all.
