Mariah Nelson, Symere Williams Death – Cause of Death : A mother and her 1-year-old son have died in a car accident on Saturday morning, at about 11:30 a.m. in southern Minnesota-Iowa. Authorities identified the victims that died as 29-year-old Mariah Nelson of Jackson and 1-year-old Symere Williams.
According to the information released by the Authorities, a vehicle occupied by Nelson, son and two girls was moving east at the intersection of Highway 71 and 120th Street, about 10 miles south of Jackson, Minnesota when she crashed into a pickup driven by a 63-year-old Jackson man, traveling south. It was revealed that Nelson failed to stop at the stop sign before the accident.
Nelson and son died of their injuries. The other occupants of the vehicle were transported to local hospital by emergency crews but were later rushed to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the treatment of unstated injuries. The two occupants of the pickup got minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital; the passenger of the pickup was later transfered to Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls.
The accident is still under investigation.
