Below are some of the tributes made on social media by his friends and family.
Lillestrøm Sportsklubb in a post made on Facebook said “It is with great sorrow that we have received the message that Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby has died, only 49 years old. In recent years, Lillestrøm has been the home of the artist, and he has many times expressed great love for the city, the people, and the Sports Club. At least we remember well this video he sent us two days after the demolition in 2019. At the home match against Strømsgodset Saturday 27. November we will honor “Hank” at Åråsen by playing some of his songs. Rest in peace.”
The Commander-In-Chief said “I’m shocked and deeply saddened by the death of my friend @hankvonh Hank was the 1st celebrity to ever reach out to me as he loved my song “Evolution,” and my work in general. He wanted us to do a collaborate. What he didn’t know was that I was a massive fan of his band @turbonegrohq – it took a few years before I told him so. The two of us were in touch frequently and I guess that I always imagined that we would meet in real life at some point. The two of us were supposed to do an event together a few years back, that sadly got canceled. Hank really loved his daughter, so my thoughts really go out to her at what must be an unbelievably difficult time for her. I can’t believe that Hank is dead. The world has not only lost a legend, Hank was a really great human, that I was lucky to befriend. RIP. #hankvonhell #turbonegro”
