Freddie Torres – passed away – death – Freddie Torres, 17-year-old, of Arizona,  a player of SC del Sol, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. So many condolences post has been flowing on social media in respect to the talented player. SC del Sol @SCdelSol tweeted the devastating news of Torres passing on Twitter, the post read “It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Freddie Torres. A generous, gifted player, who was loved greatly both on and off the field. All of us at SC del Sol send our thoughts of comfort and condolences to the Torres family.” He was born in 2004, he was loved and cherished by his beloved family, his friends, and his teammates at SC del Sol.

A GoFundMe account was created to raise funds for the family Torres in regards to his funeral. The account was created by Andy Ward and the set goal is to raise $35000 has raised up to $28600 with the top donation of $1000 by Anonymous. The write-up on the account read that “As many of you have heard the heartbreaking news, we have lost a beloved son, brother, friend, and member of the SC del Sol family, Freddie Torres. It is more than devastating news and we respect that many of us are still in a state of shock, confusion, and grief. We all know what a beautiful boy and brilliant teammate Freddie was in so many ways. We also know he loved his family and his friends so dearly. Your kind donation will go directly to Nancy and Freddie Sr to help deal with the financial repercussions of this tragic loss, so they can focus on healing and supporting one another. Rest in Peace Freddie – “Simply a Beautiful Boy”. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.”

He is survived by his family, friends, aunts, uncles, teammates, and many relatives. He led a good life and at a very young age he did a lot, he will be forever remembered. Arizona Soccer Association shared their condolences on Facebook and it read “We are deeply saddened by the news of Freddie’s passing. Our condolences to his family and those closest to him. May he Rest in Peace.” Freddie Celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Saloon Imperio 10626 N 43RD AVE Glendale, AZ 85305. A viewing will be held by 2 pm and service by 4 pm.
